2.10 System Monitoring

The PM-LX-800 motherboard is capable of self-monitoring various aspects of its operating

status including:

 CPU, chipset, and battery voltage, +3.3V, +5V, and +12V

 CPU and board temperatures (by the corresponding embedded sensors)

2.11 BIOS

The PM-LX-800 uses a licensed copy of Phoenix Award BIOS. The features of the flash

BIOS used are listed below:

 SMIBIOS (DMI) compliant

 Console redirection function support

 PXE (Pre-Boot Execution Environment ) support

 USB booting support

2.12 Operating Temperature and Temperature Control

The maximum and minimum operating temperatures for the PM-LX-800 motherboard are

listed below.

 Minimum Operating Temperature: 0ºC (32°F)

 Maximum Operating Temperature: 60°C (140°F)

A cooling heat sink is installed on the CPU. Thermal paste is smeared on the lower side of

the heat sink before it is mounted on the CPU.
